Empress with No Virtue – Chapter 52

When Ji Wu Jiu and Ye Zhen Zhen returned, they were holding hands, acting like ‘we are originally like this, nothing happened’. The guards were still in distress, and seeing them coming back, they all turned to look up at the sky, face full of “I did not see anything, I don’t know anything”.

Ye Zhen Zhen’s lips were still slightly swollen from the kiss just now, and Ji Wu Jiu on the other hand, although his face is expressionless, but there was still a thin layer of blush on his cheeks, and his gaze are already not as sharp or scary, but instead it has a layer of gentleness on them.

Li You looked at Ye Zhen Zhen and asked “Brother Zhen, are.. are you alright?”

“I am fine” Ye Zhen Zhen said, and looked at Ji Wu Jiu, “This is my good friend, called.. called…..” Confirmed cannot say his name is Ji Wu Jiu.

Thinking till here, it seems like Ji Wu Jiu’s thoughts have pondered to a certain direction.

To be honest, if Ji Wu Jiu does not have the title of an emperor, or his handsome face, the technique of pleasing woman that he has, is near to almost zero. So when he likes a woman, he only knows how to be patient with her, and treat her well, but his lip service skills are not good. Not to mention Ye Zhen Zhen is close to a piece of wood in this area, if you want to wait for her to realize, then you can slowly wait, wait till you meet hades, also she might not necessary realize.

The next day, Ye Zhen Zhen and Ji Wu Jiu rode out the city to play. Ji Wu Jiu insisted that they share a horse, and the guards were quickly left behind.

Both of them were riding on the horse on the vast grasslands. Ji Wu Jiu felt the wind blowing pass through his ears in a rush, in his arms were a warm body, he was looking at the clear sceneries, and he is smelling the fragrance that was coming from Ye Zhen Zhen’s hair. He was satisfied, holding on to Ye Zhen Zhen, with one hand holding the rein, slowly they went further and further.

Not sure how long they rode, both of them stopped at a cliff somewhere. There were a lot of trees at the back of them. Ji Wu Jiu was sitting on the ground, Ye Zhen Zhen sat cross legged in front of him, with a sliver of grass in her mouth in deep thoughts, looking at the blue sky.

Ji Wu Jiu was holding on to the helmet Ye Zhen Zhen took down, and another hand was softly petting her head, with his eyes closed enjoying the time.

“Your majesty, I think this place is better than the palace” Ye Zhen Zhen suddenly said.

“When we are out, don’t call me the emperor”

“O, Wu Chu”

Ji Wu Jiu look at her, smiled and said “Call me husband”

Ye Zhen Zhen blinked and obediently called out “Husband”

“En” Ji Wu Jiu answered while smiling, he pulled Ye Zhen Zhen towards him and captured her lips.  Ye Zhen Zhen suddenly pushed him away and said “There are noises”

“What happened?”

“I heard noises that is made by a lot of horses” Ye Zhen Zhen answered. This time around the guards should have stopped somewhere far, even though if it was them, there shouldn’t be this many, there should be at least a hundred horses.

The both of them immediately stood up and look, after a while they saw a group of people appearing, all equipped with weapons, from the way they are dressed they should be the Mongolian armies.

This is weird, this is Ji Zhou, why would Mongolian armies appear here?

But now is not the time to think about this problem, because that group of people there also realized the two of them were there, and stopped not too far from their spot.

The both of them are not exchanging glances with the group of armies there.

JI Wu Jiu is very regretting that when they left today, they put on their armours, now in the eyes of the opponents, they are two soldiers from Da Qi.

Ye Zhen Zhen subconsciously grabbed on to Ji Wu Jiu hands tightly.

How can she be not afraid, the enemy has more people, even if the twenty guards were all here, they would not be able to fight all of them, and not to mention there are only the both of them here now.

Ye Zhen Zhen was so nervous that even her hands are starting to sweat. Lowering her voice “Your majesty, later you need to run first, I will try to stall them here for a while. You have to run into the forest, they would not be able to find you there, wait till the guards come to safe you, and then you can run out. Furthermore the people there don’t know who you are, so they will not waste effort to look for you.”

Hearing this, Ji Wu Jiu heart felt a little sour and sweet, sighed and said “It is not possible for me to abandon you”

“Not possible also must be made possible” Ye Zhen Zhen looked at him anxiously “You are the emperor, you cannot die”

“Then what about you?”

“I have the multiple shot gun, I would be able to distract them for a while” Ye Zhen Zhen said while patting her gun. She was thinking that she will be allowed to hunt today, so she brought along her gun, and she also have sufficient bullets.

“Are you not afraid of dying?”

Ji Wu Jiu pushed her hands down “Zhen Zhen you won’t die, I will also not die”

“There is no time already, quickly run!”

“Zhen Zhen, calm down, Zhen Zhen” Ji Wu Jiu hugged her, “Sit down and listen to me”

Ye Zhen Zhen released her hands from the guns, and looked at him, seeing that he is very calm and collected, not sure why but she also quiet down, and allowed him to pull her to sit down.

Ji Wu Jiu brushed her forehead, and his hands gathered a layer of sweat. Patiently he explained, “These people saw us, but did not immediately attack, is because they are worried, of this being a trap. The more calm we appear, the more they will not dare to start anything.”

Ye Zhen Zhen does not agree “But this way, the risk is still too high, you should run away first”

Ji Wu Jiu instead asked “Tell me the truth, for you to even sacrifice yourself to save me, is it just because.. I am the emperor?”

Ye Zhen Zhen looked at him not understanding what he said, and why he would ask.

Ji Wu Jiu shook his head and smiled, a sad smile “Forget it, I am asking although I already know the answer”

Ye Zhen Zhen does not have the heart to side track now, “Your majesty, you… should run!”

“Zhen Zhen I told you before, when two armies fight, the most important thing is not the geography or weather, and also not the weapons, but people’s heart.” Ji Wu Jiu was patting Ye Zhen Zhen’s smooth hair, he continued “towards the hundreds of people there, there are only 2 consequences of attacking us: Either they successfully captured two soldiers from the opponent army camp, and get a better horse for their efforts or they could fall into a trap and lose their lives. Ye Zhen Zhen looked up at him with a surprised face.

“That is why” he concluded “The ones that are truly afraid of taking risks are not us but them”

Ye Zhen Zhen’s gaze was shimmering.

Ji Wu Jiu looking at her daze expression, he found it very funny, so he pinched her nose ‘What’s wrong”

“Nothing” Ye Zhen Zhen look down, and went into his arms again, and said “To be honest, I am starting to idolize you”

What I want is not your idolization. Ji Wu Jiu’s heart thought.

These two person as a married couple, even if they were a little intimate, the both of them will not feel that something is wrong, but in the eyes of others, it would be different.

That group of Mongolian army’s little leader, was afraid of the cunning central plains people setting traps, so he ordered them to stop, to first observe. What they saw was two men hugging each other without any trace of shyness, making them really speechless.

The little leader thought that taking the risk of a trap just to capture two unethical men, is really not worth it, this type of trade is really not worth it, so with a wave of his hands they continued on their journey.

This side, Ji Wu Jiu saw that the people are leaving, took out a flute from his waist, and blew hardly, and along with the flute’s sound, from a far suddenly a group of people appeared and was running towards them.

Darn, there really is a trap! The little leader saw the group of people, and quickly ordered his people to leave quickly.

This group of Mongolian army actually predicted that there would be a trap earlier, but now when there really was a trap none of them dared to even turned back, but just grab on to their horses and galloped away as quick as possible, and only thinking about how to live.

Therefore, Ji Wu Jiu brought Ye Zhen Zhen along, leading the twenty people, chased a hundred over people away. Ye Zhen Zhen light up her gun, and released a few shots towards them.

Gun! Really too scary! The Mongolian army ran even faster.

After chasing for about 10 miles, JI Wu Jiu raised his hands to stop his guards.

Actually there are only twenty of them, if they really angered the Mongolian army, or if they were to realize about it, then they would be the one at a loss.

Two guards carried a person over, and threw him on the floor. He was one of the Mongolian armies, and his legs were injured. Ye Zhen Zhen’s few shot just now was not aimed, but still she managed to shoot down 3 person, which 2 of them were already dead, and left with this one now.

“Bring him back, and interrogate him properly”

“Understood!”
