In Ji Li You’s letter, he mentioned that Ji Wu Jiu must be at the peak of Bai Hua Mountain, at noon to settle everything once and for all, he must also come alone, or else Ye Zhen Zhen’s life would be in danger.

Bai Hua Mountain was located at the north corner. Actually Ji Wu Jiu knew that Ye Zhen Zhen was brought to Fang Mountain by Ji Li You. The moment they reached Tian Jin, there was already reports of their tracks. There were also others following them from afar, but no action was taken as they were afraid things might go wrong.

Therefore, once Ji Li You entered the mountain, they lost tracked.

After receiving the letter, Ji Wu Jiu carefully made his plans, with the core of his plans on making sure Ye Zhen Zhen’s safety. In order to protect the hostage, then the only way is to make sure he complies with all the requests of the kidnapper. Ji Wu Jiu does not dare to let Ye Zhen Zhen fall into any sort of danger, hence he really went up to Bai Hua mountain alone. In order to ensure his personal guards does not mess up his plans, he even tied them up.

On top of Bai Hua mountain’s cliff, there is a pine tree, with a strong branch expanding beyond the cliff. The image it portrayed, was as though it was deity looking outwards.

Ye Zhen Zhen was currently being tied to that branch, beneath her feet was an abyss. Even looking downwards will cause the heart to jump up.

The weather was quite good today, there was no fog, looking afar, she could clearly see the pathways leading up to the mountain. The moment Ji Wu Jiu appeared on the pathway, her tears started streaming down.

Ji Wu Jiu couldnt hear what she was screaming in her heart, and he also didn’t looked up, all the while he was looking down, step by step walking forward. Each step stable and with strength..

Ye Zhen Zhen was crying so hard, her eyes filled with tears. Ji Li You was looking at her miserable appearance and decided to wiped her tears off with a handkerchief. When Ye Zhen Zhen once again looked downwards, she could no longer find Ji Wu Jiu’s figure.

After a while, he has finally reached the mountain top. He looked slimmer. Ye Zhen Zhen was shaking her head hard, while crying, trying her best to signal him what she meant.

However, he did not go back, but instead looked at her, with a neutral expression, but his gaze full of worry for her. Ye Zhen Zhen was struggling but there was nothing she could do.

Her wrists were bounded tightly, and painfully, so she could only hold on to the rope above, to reduce the pain.

On the other hand, Ji Wu Jiu’s heart was already aching very much upon seeing her in that state, but he refused to lose his senses and could only tighten his fists, trying hard to control himself.

Ji Li You saw him, slowly smiled and said “You have arrived.” Ji Wu Jiu didn’t want to waste time and spoke out, “Let her go, you name the conditions”. “Why are you in a hurry?” Ji Li You, places his hands behind his back and paced around. “We should let Ji Jian Cong watch from above, how he once killed his own elder brother and how he treated his son, be reflected upon his own son. Karma, this is karma, hahaha!”

Ji Wu Jiu took a deep breath and said “we should not discuss about matters regarding the previous generation”

“Of course you don’t want to discuss about it, because your father was someone who killed brothers and forced the throne from his dad, an animal!” Ji Li You’s sneering.

“You!….”

“Why? Did I say anything wrong? Ah.. I did make a mistake” Ji Li You realized… “I should say, it wasn’t as simple as dethroning his father.. That year, the death of the emperor, there should be some sort of relation…”

“Shut Up!” Retorted Ji Wu Jiu, “Just state your condition, there is no need to bring up the past”

“I purposely want to say it! Your father killed your uncle and your grandfather, your throne was snatched from others! Debt of a father should be repaid by the son, I will kill you today to avenge my father, and of course to take back what that doesn’t belong to you.”

“If so, then act now”.

“There is no need to rush”. He laughed, he suddenly took out his sword, aiming the blade towards the rope above Ye Zhen Zhen.

“No!, everything can be discussed” Ji Wu Jiu said in a hurry.

Ji Li You maintained his position and said, “I am not as cold heart-ed as your father, I can still give you a chance. Choose between the nation or the beauty, choose one, if you choose correctly, I could still give you a way of life, if you choose wrongly, then you can go find your father!”

“Which is right or wrong?”

“Just choose the answer based on your heart”

Ji Wu Jiu frowned, “There is no need to play around, let Zhen Zhen go, and take the nation.”

“Looks like you made your decision, but sorry to say, I must kill you now”. Ji Li You said, while waving his hands. The people hiding in the bushes immediately lit up the fire starter. The surrounding immediately lit up with fire sparkles, as though as there were a fire dragon moving fast towards them.

In the end, it still reached this state. Ye Zhen Zhen closes her eyes in despair. She does not dare look at what will happen next. However, after waiting for a while, till her eyes were starting to turn sore, there were still nothing happening. There were only the burnt smell from the fire starter. Ye Zhen Zhen opened her eyes.

She say Ji Wu Jiu standing there unharmed, Ji Li You a well. But there was something wrong with Ji Li You’s expression.

Is it possible for all the explosives to be deemed useless at the same time?

“Even if you kill me now, you will never be the Emperor, As everyone that can proof your identity is dead. Even if you are Ji Li You, who will believe you?” Ji Wu Jiu said.

Ji Li You replied coldly, ” Indeed you are Ji Jian Cong’s son, as cunning as him”

Ji Wu Jiu ignored his sneers, and continued “I have already left a hidden edict, If anything were to happen to me, the next in line to the throne will be Tan Ji. The only way to be the emperor now is to keep me as hostage and to force me to abdicate the throne to you”.

Ji Li You was cut off before he could speak, with the appearance of many soldiers rushing up the mountain, and surrounding everyone there.

“Indeed you are as shameless as your dad, to say one thing and to do another”, “It looks like you do not care about the life and death of the empress, if so, then there is nothing I can say” He said, while waving his sword towards the rope!

At that moment, Ji Wu Jiu’s blood was frozen.

However, in the split of a moment, there is a turn of events. The person whom was tied above the cliff suddenly flipped up towards them using the strength of the rope, both legs heading directly towards Ji Li You, her ankles aiming directly towards his shoulders! Ji Li You’s reflex was to slash his sword towards her, however before the sword could reach her waist, he suddenly halted his actions. Both of them clashed together and fell to the ground.

It was at this moment, everyone realized that Ye Zhen Zhen’s hand was free from the rope restrained. Ji Wu Jiu waved his hands, and the soldiers immediately move forward and captured all the traitors.

Ye Zhen Zhen was helped up by Ji Wu Jiu. Once again holding on to Ye Zhen Zhen’s hand made after such a long time made Ji Wu Jiu feel real again. However, he suddenly felt a ting of pain from his hands, he opened up his hand and saw that there was a drop of blood on his palm. Ye Zhen Zhen slowly lifted up her hands to show him, on her fore finger there was a ring, a sharp object appeared under the ruby ring. She used this ring in Liao Dong once before, and there was no chance to use it after, and slowly had forgotten about its special ability, and because the ring is pretty, Ye Zhen Zhen normally just wears them.

This time around, lucky she was wearing it, and did not remove from her fingers.

Thinking about earlier, Ji Wu Jiu was still worried, and was still quite speechless. Ye Zhen Zhen was also only looking at him blankly, suddenly no words were exchanged between them.

“Fang Xiu Qing” Ji Wu Jiu called out his full name while trying to suppress his anger, “To mobilize the army without orders is punishable as treason”

Fang Xiu Qing kneeled on the floor, with a straight body, “I admit my fault, but to see your majesty head to danger alone, please forgive me, I cannot do that”

Ji Wu Jiu looked at him with a straight face, and waved his hand after a while, “You bring this group of people back first, I will punish you later!”

“Then your majesty…….you…” “I will be there in a while.”

Finally, on top of the mountain, there were only the two of them.

Breezy wind, made the rope tied to the branch swing accordingly to the wind’s direction. Bai Hua Mountain’s name is as per the mountain, there are many flower trees on the mountain, blooming and colourful. It is considered a splendid scenery.

However, Ji Wu Jiu does not have the heart to look at all those. His entire gaze was on Ye Zhen Zhen, and only her. Although Ye Zhen Zhen misses him very much as well, but his gaze on her made her shy. Blushing she looked down.

Ji Wu Jiu pulled her into his arms, and a longing kiss was given. Ye Zhen Zhen held on to his waist, looked up, closed her eyes, and received this kiss. His kiss was not gentle at all, can even be considered violent, it was as if he wanted to swallow her skin and bones into his body. Ye Zhen Zhen was kissed till her legs turned soft, before she was released and at her ears he kept repeating, “Zhen Zhen, I miss you”. “I didn’t miss you one bit” Ye Zhen Zhen said.

Ji Wu Jiu she was just letting out her anger, but he still tightened his arms and bite her ears.

“You didn’t want to endure hardships with me, and only wanted to do endure it alone, do you really treat me as your wife?” Do you think, if you used your life to change for my livelihood, I will live on peacefully?” Ye Zhen Zhen said, while tears started to stream down her eyes. Ji Wu Jiu immediately helped her to wipe them off, while gently consoling here, ” Alright, alright, I was wrong, I would not do this anymore, Zhen Zhen forgive me this time, don’t cry anymore, my heart is broken from seeing you cry….” Ye Zhen Zhen pushed him away, ” You will still be like this in the future!!” Inside Ji Wu Jiu’s heart, he can’t help but realize how much she knows about him. He purposely emphasized on the word blissful, and Ye Zhen Zhen knew what he meant, but she just chose to ignore him.  Looking at how red Ye Zhen Zhen has become made Ji Wu Jiu’s heart itch, but although he is very open, he still wouldn’t do it in broad daylight on top of a mountain. Even if there are no one watching, it wouldn’t be nice if monkeys saw them… Therefore the two of them just sat by the cliff and chatted while looking at the view.

Leaning on to Ji Wu Jiu’s shoulder, she asks “I am still curious, as to why the explosives did not ignite?”

“There is no explosives” “Ah??”

“Silly”, he knocked her forehead with a finger, “he can bury them, but can’t I dig them out..”
